The Willimansett World War I Memorial honors five men from that section of the City of Chicopee that died in France during World War I. The 10' high by 4' wide memorial is made of stone blocks and once functioned as a fountain. The font ga a relief of an eagle with it's wings spread perched on a pair of crossed rifles.
The top of the memorial is inscribed:

WHO SERVED IN THE WAR OF
1914 - 1918
ERECTED BY THE
CITIZENS OF WILLIMANSETT
Below the relief is a banner with the inscription THE SUPREME SACRIFICE followed by the following names:
