Der Naumburger Dom stammt zu großen Teilen aus dem 13. Jahrhundert und gehört zu den bedeutendsten Bauwerken der Spätromantik in Sachsen-Anhalt. Bis 1564 war der Dom ein Bischofsitz. Heute finden hier nur noch vereinzelt Gottesdienste statt.
Der Dom liegt an der Straße der Romanik, welche als Teil der Europäischen Kulturstraße Transromanica durch Sachsen-Anhalt verläuft. Darüber hinaus ist der Dom ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Antragsprojektes der Bundesrepublik Deutschland an die UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe an Saale und Unstrut.

The Naumburg Cathedral dates back to the 13th century and is one of the most important buildings of late-romanticism in Saxony-Anhalt. Until 1564 the cathedral was a bishop's seat. Today, only isolated worship takes place here.
The cathedral is located on the Romanesque road, which runs through the Saxony-Anhalt part of the Transromanica European Cultural Route. In addition, the Cathedral is an important part of the application process of Germany to UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage to Saale and Unstrut.
