A 7.33' high by 2.5' wide granite figure of a union color bearer stands on a 9' high by 6' wide octagonal granite base. The monument was created by Stanley Edwards, and fabricated by the Van Amringe Granite Company. It was dedicated at the Antietam Battlefield on September 17, 1904.
