Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present section corner bears S89.0°W from T14S R9E S8 17 1/4 COR, WAYPOINT WMTJNY, 2651' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe in a mound of stones; rising 9"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Found two ponderosa pines, the nearer a snag, with healed blazes. Each has a yellow BEARING TREE tag on the facing side and a yellow BEARING TREE tag and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. The more distant one also has an old-style BEARING TREE shield. There are three aluminum U-posts with PROPERTY BOUNDARY signs. One bearing S, 49" distant also has a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign. In addition there are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and ATTENTION signs mounted on a T-post which bears E, 73" distant.

private property NW and SE of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest; see also Survey CS#18052 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office and USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
