In Plattsburgh, across from the Macdonough Monument, is Plattsburgh City Hall, which has a dated stone with the year, in Roman numerals, 1917.
The stone is located in the portico of the building, behind the large columns and well above eye level. There are two parts: on the left is a stone with the word, "Erected,": and a stone on the right with the text, "MCMXVII."
Plattsburgh City Hall is the government seat of the city of Plattsburgh. It is made of similar stone to the monument across the street.
