The two-toned brickwork is similar to the Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church built by Andrew Perry in 1866.

The History of the Wyoming Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church by A.F. Chaffee was published in 1904. Most of the development was on the other side of the Chenango River, east of here. There were a couple Methodist churches on the West side of the river, but nearer to it.

This church would have been built as the city was expanding westward. The Bennett Tract was developed as a suburb on the trolley line. That was still east of here.

This is near Johnson City which was developed as a shoe manufacturing site for the Johnson shoe factory.

Boulevard UMC is in the Binghamton District and has handicap accessibility
