The bench is a few steps off the Flourtown Spur of the Wissahickon Trail, also known as the Green Ribbon Preserve Trail.

The plaque reads
In Memory of
Alfred B. Carp

Al Carp was born on December 6, 1915 and died without warning on January 11, 1972. His son explored many local parks before finding this congenial spot overlooking the Wissahickon Creek. In 2016, a local photographer is stopping by every afternoon to record the daily changes of the trees and water and wildlife.
Where is this bench located?: From the parking area opposite the Philadelphia Cricket Club golf course at 6025 W. Valley Green Rd, walk left through the gate. Where the paved trail begins to turn left uphill, the bench is a few steps down a dirt path on the right.
