The disk is prominently visible on the top of the parapet between the roadway and pedestrian walk on the Iowa approach spans to the bridge. It's immediately adjacent to an expansion joint. I'm not sure which agency placed it here or why. You cannot set up a surveyor's instrument or a survey rod on it. Quite a poor placement for surveying, a great placement for benchmark hunters. I'm guessing it belongs to the Nebraska Department of Resources...but that's just a guess.
