The larger than life (30ft x 20ft) Celina welcome sign painted on a two story building at the corner of Preston and Pecan Street just across from Celina Middle School.

The background is yellow ochre with three iconic symbols of Texas painted on it cowboys, longhorns, and the lone star state flag in the shape of the state of Texas.
The first layer is four cowboys on horseback riding in a line painted in a silhouette technique using brown umber. The second layer is the lone star state flag in the tradition red, white and blue in the shape of the state of Texas. The third layer is the Welcome to Celina the City Beautiful painted in three different fonts and two different colors white and blue. The fourth and final layer are three long horns painted using three shades of raw umber and white.
While these are symbols of Texas they also represent Celina with barrel, cutting horse, and roping horse trainer, Punk Carter, and
hundred or so head of Texas longhorn grazing next to the Old Celina Park.
