The original industrial development was by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, then by the Erie Railroad. Main Street is the commercial development. Endicott Johnson Shoe factories built much of the village. Now the UHS Wilson Hospital is a major employer.
The ground floor of this building is now the storefront church "House of Truth".
