Long Description:
The park dates to 1942 when the property was willed to the City of Wheaton. The block had previously been occupied by the home of the Adams family from 1976-1942. Upon her death Katharine Adams Wells had directed in her will that the house be demolished and she had provided funds to convert the property into a landscaped park. The centerpiece of the park is a fountain dating to 1885, originally it was in the front of the Adams house. The park is a beautiful quiet park, and a popular setting for weddings.
