Peter Brock an Australian motor racing legend was killed on September 8th 2006 in an accident while taking part in the Targa West rally in Western Australia the car failed to take a bend and crashed into a tree.
A plaque which reads" Peter Brock 1945 - 2006 RIP King of the Mountain" is located close to where the accident occured , behind the plaque is a boulder with his racing car's number (05) and the name of the event , there is a parking area for approx 10 cars at the site
