"George F Johnson & Thomas J Watson. EJ & IBM
Where would Endicott be without those two men and their companies. Johnson convinced Watson to stay in Endicott, and treat his people better. Watson gave Johnson advice on how to better market his shoes. The result, Endicott became famous."
Theme:
The core piece of history is of the early days at IBM, which started here. The business before computers included clocks for recording time worked, key punch machines, typewriters. When IBM left Endicott they donated their local museum to Endicott. Endicott Johnson Shoe factory is featured on the second floor.
