Konnopke's Imbiß is located under the subway tracks at Schönhauser Allee in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. It is a chippy with a long tradition since 1930. Max Konnopke started the family business with a hawker's tray by which he sold sausages under the subway tracks ... After Second World War the chippy was established again and continued to exist in the GDR (East Berlin), it got cult status during these years. It also survived German reunification ... The family business is famous nowadays - it is known far beyond the borders of Berlin. It is famous for its Currywurst, crack sausages and more. The curryketchup is made according to a secret family recipe ... come and enjoy!
