Ducks and geese hatch their eggs on the banks of a lake or stream, and when old enough to swim and walk, they take them to a different lake to learn the skills they will need to survive. So ducks will always move their young in the spring.
Big ones waddle around just for fun or hunting little bugs to eat....LOL!
