The plaque is mounted on the southeast corner of the building near the War Memorial.
Morris Women's Institute was formed in 1910 by 37 local who wanted to improve rural families and communities through education and leadership. By the end of 1910, they had met with women in 20 other Manitoba towns and other branches were created. Today the are 30 local branches with over 500 members.
