This memorial is part of a greater memorial also featuring WWII and the Korean War but this section was built first in 1928. The memorial was designed by James W. Hutchinson. The statue of a weeping woman is holding a wreath symbolizing peace standing over a model of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
