A Chateau Style bank gracing Government Street evokes a similarity to the Canadian Pacific Railway's Chateau Style that is across Canada. This is because the architect Francis Mawson Rattenbury did his first Chateau Style building here and then was hired by the CPR to do more at the many hotels the railway owned.
