The Bank of British Columbia was built in 1885-86 in the Italiante Style. Above the door are the initials - B of BC. Today this building has been turned into the Bard & Banker Public House.

Gracing the intersection of Government and Fort streets the Bank of British Columbia was constructed in 1885-86. It served as the Bank of BC until that financial company merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1901. The branch continued to operate until 1988 - 102 years after it opened. In 2008 the building was converted into a public house.
