The Potters House in Perth began here in 1978 on the site of a former drive-in theatre.

"The theatre was opened in either 1971 or 1972. It was known as Beechline Drive-in Theatre. The cinema was designed by architects Broadhurst, Ryan and Evans, with provision for 500 cars."
