The Confederate Veteran's Cemetery section at Waco's historic First Street Cemetery was purchased in the 1900 by the State of Texas and set aside for the burials of local Confederate pensioners and their wives.

Two long rows of pensioner graves here are each marked with a small square tombstone containing the veteran's name and the branch of Confederate military he served in.

We estimate there are about 50 graves here.
