USGS '40JD 4068' BM - Litchfield, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey BM from 1953 in good condition, although the square, concrete post the disk is monumented on is broken into pieces. the disk itself is still sound in its monumentation. This disk does not appear in the NGS database but is listed on a topography map as 'BM 40JD 4068.4'. This disk resides about three feet north of a telephone pole and about seven feet east of a wooden fence line. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this station.
