This lighthouse was originally to be placed in Boston Harbor but instead it was assembled on Mount Greylock, the highest point in the state at 3491 feet above sea level.

The lighthouse is called the Vetrans War Memorial Tower. If you go to: this satellite photo which was taken straight down, actually shows the shadow of the Vetrans War Memorial Tower on the ground. Kind of impressive!
