On a clear day you will 'always' find some people up here enjoying the view.
* But be prepared for a STRENUOUS walk! FIVE hours is the recommended time for the return walk! * (Though, I have done it in 1 hour 10 minutes 30 years ago; most recently 1 hour, 25 minutes - with some running)
The side panel of the Orientation Table reads:
A Fiery Past
Wollumbin Mount Warning was once the fiery heart of a volcano that erupted over 20 million years ago. This massive volcano was more than twice as high as the present mountain and spread lava over thousands of square kilometres.
The places of interest that are shown (from the west) are:
LIMPINWOOD NATURE RESERVE; Mt Bithongabal; Mt Merino; Bald Mountain; Numinbah Gap; NUMINBAH NATURE RESERVE; Springbrook Mountain; and Mt Cougal.
