The Bamberg Rose Garden was designed in the style of an antique Roman garden. Part of the design are statues of Roman deities.

The Statue of Diana was sculpted by Royal sculptor Ferdinand Dietz in 1761.

In Roman Mythology, Diana is the goddess of hunting and nature and the goddess of the moon.
