KT0164 - USC&GS 'M 226' BM - Willows, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey BM from 1935 in good condition. The NGS datasheet is adequate for station recovery. The GPS coordinates are way off, my posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.

AT WILLOWS, AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF SYCAMORE AND LASSEN STREETS, AT THE CIVIC MEMORIAL BUILDING, IN THE TOP OF THE CONCRETE FOUNDATION SUPPORTING THE EAST CONCRETE PILLARS, 55.8 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH CURB OF SYCAMORE STREET, 22 1/2 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH ENTRANCE, 4.0 FEET WEST OF THE WEST SIDE OF THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH ENTRANCE, 4.0 FEET WEST OF THE WEST SIDE OF THE EAST CONCRETE PILLAR, AND ABOUT 3 FEET HIGHER THAN THE STREET.
