JS0006 - USC&GS 'P 125' BM - El Dorado County, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey BM from 1932 in good condition. A NGS log from 2015 reports this disk as 'not found' but the disk is there, even though the drinking fountain no longer functions.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1957 5.7 MI NW FROM CAMP RICHARDSON. 5.7 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 89 FROM THE POST OFFICE AT CAMP RICHARDSON, AT THE Y JUNCTION OF A TRACK ROAD LEADING WEST TO EAGLE FALLS CAMP GROUND, IN THE TOP OF A GRANITE LEDGE SUPPORTING A PUBLIC DRINKING FOUNTAIN, 141 FEET NORTHWEST OF HIGHWAY BRIDGE 25-45, 33 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 30 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 3.7 FEET EAST OF THE EAST EDGE OF A STONE STEP IN FRONT OF THE FOUNTAIN, AND ABOUT 4 FEET HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY.
