Calvary Chapel of North East Washington has been in existence for over 14 years. Its humble beginning in 1999 with 12 individuals meeting in a home of one of its first members.
In 2000, relocating to its current location in the Draper Memorial Building. Frederick Royal Draper, a local lumberman, was born in 1883 and passed away in 1962 who this building was named. We at least know that the building was completed prior to 1962.
The Calvary Chapel is located on the right side of the building and the other side is occupied by the Masonic Lodge #50.
This is an interesting building made of reddish longer than standard bricks with a square tile front which bares the name Draper Memorial. As you will note it was raining the day we were there.
Calvary Chapels is a non-denominational church, that are not opposed to denominations per se, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ.
They are a Spirit-Filled congregation who most believe in glossolalia, and church services accompanied with music, active participation, and inspirational sermons.
