Designed by La Crosse, Wisconsin architects Schick & Stolze, this amazing building was built for C&J Michel Brewing Company as a tavern to feature their beverages to the patrons of the Fortney Hotel built next door. The building was built in 1899 at the same time as the Fortney and shares many architectural features. The building itself is listed as a City of Viroqua Landmark. The Viroqua Community Action Program also called this home at one point. It's currently rental property.
