Die Paul-Gerhard-Kirche wurde im Stil der Neurenaissance nach Plänen von Julius Zeißig erbaut und am 1. April 1900 eingeweiht. Für 34 Jahre trug die Kirche den Namen "Neue Kirche Conne­witz". Erst dann erhielt sie ihren noch heute gültigen Namen. Die Kirche bietet Platz für mehr als 650 Besucher_innen.

The Paul-Gerhard-Kirche was built in the Neo-Renaissance style according to plans by Julius Zeißig and was inaugurated on 1. April 1900. 34 years the church has the name "Neue Kirche Connewitz". Since 1934 the church has the current name. The church has room for more than 650 visitors.
