This corner mural is located in the center of the village, on the east side of a truss bridge, and features a sailing boat with other landmarks.

In Whitehall, east of a truss bridge over the Champlain Canal, is this small mural at a corner of the building.
The building is on the south side of the intersection between Elks Way, Williams Street, and Saunders Street.
The mural is roughly 6 ft by 4 ft. It features a boat with a sail in a water body. There are four buildings on the shore. I recognize the upper left one to be the old fort that was located in the village, uphill from the head of Lake Champlain, now where Lock C-12 of Champlain Canal is positioned. The other three look like houses.
I am not sure what the boat represents. It is more likely to represent one of the boats built here for Benedict Arnold's navy, which is said to be the birthplace of the U.S. Navy.
The signature is on the left side: "S. Garrett 1999"
The building appears to be unoccupied at the time of visit (Sept. 2016).
