This memorial consisting of of six pillars is located in the Veterans Memorial Park - Commercial Street and River Road in Atchison, Ks.

There are six pillars for this memorial. Each pillar has a cut stone base. Inset into that base, there is a grey marble column. A brass plate with six stars is inset into the middle of the column, and the insignia of one the branches - Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard or National Guard is inset into the top of the column. Each column has a two tiered light.
As part of the Memorial, there is a grey granite marker. The text of the marker reads:

Dedicated Nov. 11, 1999 to all veterans of Atchison County, KS
Who served our country in times of war and peace.
