The building located on the north east side of Ludgate Circus, at the junction of Ludgate Hill and Farringdon Street, has two chimera over the two entrance doors to the right-hand side of the building.

The heads and surrounding back plate are made from cast metal and are painted black. They depict a bearded man wearing a crown who is looking straight ahead. The back plate is decorated with carved representation of foliage.

The figure could possibly be a representation of King Lud but nothing can be found to confirm this.
