Here is brass plaque to the fallen in a South African Conflict, 1900 - 1901. This was the original church in Staveley, the new church moved in 1864. There are 12 names and their commander.

Unveiled 26 July 1901
This simple brass plaque commemorates the second Boer war. The inscription reads.
"THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED IN HONOR(sic) OF THE
FOLLOWING STAVELEY MEN OF THE
F. COMPANY SECOND V.B. BORDER REGIMENT
WHO SERVED IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN CAMPAIGN
OF 1900 - 1901 UNDER
MAJOR JOHN THOMPSON "
