Douglas Park is a small town in Wollondilly Shire, part of the Macarthur region.
The two largest land grants in the district belonged to Dr Henry Grattan Douglass and Jean Baptiste de Arrietta. Douglass eventually gave his name to the town but the final "s" of his name was lost due to a cartographer's error.
Douglas Park is not too far from the Sydney to Melbourne freeway and the city suburb of Campbelltown. People here live a quiet and slow paced lifestyle. Recreational activities include cycling and river swimming.
In 2011, Buxton had a population of 1,270 people.
