EN: The Hotel Engel is located in the center of Dornach, right next to the former church and opposite the municipal administration.

The two-storey main building has six window rows on the left, the right part was probably a stable. An adjoining annex was also equipped with guest rooms. The two buildings surround a backyard which is not visible from the front.

I could not find anything about the building history. The house served as an inn for a many years and has just recently closed and was transformed into an old people's and nursing home.

DE: Das Hotel Engel befindet sich im Zentum von Dornach gleich neben der ehemaligen Kirche und gegenüber der Gemeindeverwaltung.

Das zweistöckige Hauptgebäude hat auf der linken Seite sechs Fensterreihen, der rechte Teil war früher wohl ein Stall. Ein rechtwinklig angebautes Nebengebäude war ebenfalls mit Gastzimmern ausgestattet. Die zwei Gebäude umschliessen einen von vorne nicht sichtbaren Hinterhof.

Die Baugeschichte konnte ich nicht finden. Das Haus diente lange als Gasthof und wurde erst kürzlich gecshlossen und zu einem Alters- und Pflegeheim umgebaut.
