This small shed is Contributing Building No. 42 within the National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form and part of the Union Creek Historic District, officially registered in 1980.

The Nomination Form says the following in regards to this contributing building:

42. Gas and Lube Shed #2564: 1935 - CCC, wood frame salt box on lava rock foundation, exterior wood shingles and vertical board and batten, multi-light sash windows, recessed umbrage. In good condition, several windows boarded, otherwise unaltered

This building still looks the same as it did in 1980 when this building became part of the historic district and even houses a vintage gas pump, although not in use.
