Union creek Lodge is Contributing Building No. 39 within the National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form and part of the Union Creek Historic District, officially registered in 1980.

The Nomination Form says the following in regards to this contributing building:

39. Fire Equipment Shed #2306: 1942 - CCC, rectangular, peeled-pole framing, exterior wood shakes and vertical board and batten, high gable roof, open length of south elevation. 1962-63 wood shake roof replaced with corrugated metal. In very good condition.

This shed still looks the same as it did in 1980 when this building became part of the historic district.
