The wording on the plaque is :-

"History of Marri logs on rail carriage

"The railway wagon with its load of Coryrnbia calophyla (Marri)logs
symbolises the history of the logging and timber industry that established Rockingham as a port. Jarrah milled and logged Jarrahhdale was exported as railway sleepers and paving blocks for the streets of London and Paris via the Rockingham Jetty.
The three large Marri logs located on the carriage are a result of Alcoa's cleaning for the proposed McCoy Crusher site at the Huntly mine north of Dwellingup
The logs measure 11 metres long with their diameters varying from
680mm to 860mm and they have a combined weight of 21 tonnes."
