Set in a wall in a shady place along Old Town Lane this box has had some repairs.

It looks as if there have been attempts to force this box open as there is a reinforcing bar alongside the lock position on the door and some screws through to an internal plate holding the door togather on the hinge side. Apart from that there's a piece missing from the collection plate frame, it's had a rough time!

In a wall under some trees on the north-west side of Old Town Lane leading north towards Rocky Hill.

Is this post box still in use?: 1.00pm Monday to Friday, 8.00am Saturday.
Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: VR and crown.
Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Manufacturer on base below the door, Post Office on the slot hood.
