This dark bronze metal disk is embedded in a collar of concrete. The collar appears to be the top of a buried concrete pipe. The disk is stamped around the outside US Dept of Agriculture . SCS . Below the SCS is 265. The center of the disk has a ping mark in the center of cross hairs. This is a Soil Conservation Service marker used to measure soil erosion in the area. The marker is approximately 367 feet east of the eastern edge of Signal Butte Road and 525 feet northeast of the eastern edge of Signal Butte Road at its intersection with McLellan Road at an angle of 227.15 degrees. There is an attendant witness post, a metal fence post.
