From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 11.6 miles. Turn left onto FR2066, then bear left on FR2067 in about 0.2 miles and continue 4.7 miles to the junction with FR2061-600. Park and walk generally NE on FR2061-600 [through a gate with ROAD CLOSED sign at 1.4 miles] about 1.5 miles to the junction with FR2061-640. Turn right onto FR2061-640 and continue S about 0.6 miles to the corner.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe; rising 7"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Found a burned snag with a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. Also found a T-post which bears SE, 20" distant. Found two U-posts each with a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign. One bears N, 27" distant and the other bears W, 22" distant.
What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest NW of the corner, else Firs Holdings LLC property; see also Survey CS#00007 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
