Peter Wolf Toth has devoted most of his life to carving these statues of Indians and donating them, at least one, to each of the United States and some in Canada. His first statue was of stone at La Jolla, CA in February 1972 when he was 24 years old; # 70 was completed on June 4, 2006 in Buckhead, NC. Toth's primary purpose for his dedicated work is to raise the nation's consciousness as to the plight of the Native Americans.
It can be seen from the gallery of photos that this Giant is in dire need of restoration soon.
