" Das Erinnerungsmal wurde von dem Friedberger Künstler Prof. Peter Schubert entworfen und soll am Rande des Kurparks gegenüber dem Aliceplatz errichtet werden. Auf einer Steinwand aus Muschelkalk werden die Namen der 278 Bad Nauheimer Holocaust-Opfer verzeichnet sein.
Davor weist eine aus Bronze gegossene Parkbank mit einem zurückgelassenen Mantel aus dem gleichen Material symbolisch hin auf den erzwungenen Weggang unserer jüdischen Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger unter Zurücklassung ihrer Habe. Ein QR-Code neben dem Erinnerungsmal führt zu einer ebenfalls von Mitgliedern der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Geschichte erstellten Homepage, die mit biographischen Angaben und zum Teil mit Bildern und Dokumenten über das Leben und Schicksal der Opfer informiert.
Die Jüdische Gemeinde Bad Nauheims, die Gesellschaft für Christlich-Jüdische Zusammenarbeit, der Magistrat der Stadt Bad Nauheim und die Stadtverordnetenversammlung haben die Errichtung des Erinnerungsmals ohne Einschränkung begrüßt, dem Vorhaben in allen Einzelheiten zugestimmt und ihre Unterstützung zugesagt.
Die Kosten werden auf 40.000 Euro geschätzt und sollen durch Spenden aufgebracht werden.
Die Initiatoren hoffen, die Bürger Nauheims dafür gewinnen zu können, die Errichtung dieser Erinnerungsstätte mit eigenem finanziellen Engagement zu unterstützen und so ihr Mitgefühl am Schicksal der Bad Nauheimer Juden zu bekunden. "
