In Whitehall, within Riverside Park, is this gazebo.

Riverside Park is a small park located between Champlain Canal and Main Street, and is just south of a truss bridge over the Champlain Canal.

The gazebo is on the southeast corner of the park, just south of the multi-war memorial along the eastern edge.

The gazebo is a wooden structure painted blue and white, with a peaked, shingled roof. The floor-base is about a foot off the ground, and has thin, white posts supporting the roof. A low railing about 1 1/2 feet high from the floor run on seven sides.

According to an entry on a web site featuring Whitehall landmarks, this gazebo is a replica of a bandstand that stood by Williams Street. This one was built in 1982. It was dedicated to its benefactor and area historian, Doris Begor Morton.
