As described by the Coast and Geodetic Survey ("CGS") back in 1947:
"AT CORRIGAN, APPROXIMATELY 71 YARDS EAST OF THE TEXAS AND NEW ORLEANS RAILWAY STATION, AT THE CITY WATER TANK, SET IN THE TOP OF THE NORTH CORNER OF THE CONCRETE BASE SUPPORTING THE NORTHWEST LEG OF THE TANK."
The 1947 description and associated reference points (i.e. distances/directions) are still good references for locating this station... although the railroad is actually more like 85 yards away, but that's a nit: just look for the water tank that is EAST (not West) of Hwy 59, then look at the cemented ground by the northwest leg.
The station's associated "NGS Data Sheet" posted coordinates are, however, still slighty off (by 15 feet or so). As of the time of this waymark posting, the NGS reported the station at "N 30 59 55.0 W 094 49 36.2" 15 feet north of the benchmark in question (at the corner of the gate surrounding the water tank). A more accurate reading should be "N 30° 59.914 W 94° 49.604".
The station was recovered in "decent" condition: it had apparently been painted over in the past, but the paint is slowly cracking off and the markings are becoming visible once more (see posted waymark's gallery images for BM close-up and setting details).
