"Two years ago, the Public Art Commission asked the city’s Board of Public Works for permission to include the 21 city-owned boxes in its list of approved municipially-owned surfaces for the mural program. After viewing examples of similar projects done in other cities, the BPW gave the go-ahead for the Public Art Commission to work with the city’s Planning Department and Department of Public Works for the electrical box project."

"In 2005, the city of Salvador’s mayor hired Muniz as a full-time salaried street artist as part of the Salvador Graffiti Project. His leadership in the Project eventually afforded him the opportunity to participate in a two-month speaking tour about Salvador’s street art in the United States. From 2007 to 2010 Muniz relocated to New York City where he worked exclusively as an artist. During these three years his art was displayed in over a dozen exhibits all over New York City. In addition, he worked with Groundswell, a Brooklyn-based mural arts NGO, to produce a four-story mural in downtown Newark, New Jersey. "
