Wandoan is a small town on the Western Downs & is a service centre for the surrounding beef cattle properties, gas wells & coal mines. The church was nearly destroyed by fire in 2012 but locals, farmers & the mining fraternity got together & raised funds to have it restored.

It is a picture now with well maintained grounds, access for the disabled & has a small cement apron at the front where the Minister & parishioners can mingle.
