"The full power of the healing springs in Bad Nauheim
The drinking cure facility in Bad Nauheim was built between 1900 and 1912 by the architect Wilhelm Jost and is next to the Sprudelhof and the train station Bad Nauheims an impressive example of the era of art nouveau.
The building should pay tribute to the healing effects of drinking. Even today, water can be eaten at the central octagonal springs.
The drinking spa is an impressive architectural heritage from the art-historical period of the late 19th and early 20th century, the Jugendstil. It consists of several colonnades which lead horseshoe-shaped around a large basin and an orchestra shell. The jewel of the building ensemble is the octagonal temple of the Kurbrunnen, which at the time was raised to the "Baptistery of Medicinal Water". The adjacent drinking hall is also reminiscent of an ancient thermal bath or early Christian church. The centerpiece of the drinking-hall is the gilded spring-house, where medicinal waters of the spa, Karls- und Ludwigsbrunnen are still combined and poured.
The drinking cure system is a lively example of Bad Nauheim's history as a world bath. The impressive architecture pays tribute to the curative effect of the water through its lavish design and detail-loving elaboration. Not only the medicinal waters, but also the visually appealing ambience of the drinking hall, should contribute decisively to the wellbeing.
Drinking cures have always been prescribed in Bad Nauheim for prevention or as a complementary part of a spa stay. Under medical supervision, they counteract the symptoms of the digestive system, stimulate the metabolism and promote personal well-being. Thus, the three springs of the spa, Charles and Ludwigsbrunnen increase so-called sodium chloride-acid sucklings, swallowing around swallowing health.
The hydration system is today much more than the feeding of medicinal waters. There are spa concerts all year round, in the summer on the stage of the orchestral shell and in the winter in the small concert hall. You can also experience art in the "Galerie Trinkkur". There are regularly exhibitions. The "Tafelspitz & Söhne Bad Nauheim" restaurant provides culinary delights.
The drinking spa is centrally located next to the Rosengarten directly in the city center."
