Wandoan is a village on the Western Downs & a service centre for surrounding cattle properties. The Wandoan Visitor Information and Craft Centre is in O'Sullivan Park & is housed in the former Wandoan Railway Station which was relocated to the park.

The Wandoan Visitor Information and Craft Centre was officially opened by Cr. Andrew Smith who is currently the Deputy Mayor of Western Downs Regional Council & spokesman for Planning & Environment. Councillor Andrew Smith has over eight years’ experience in local government, having been an economic development officer prior to being elected for Council in 2008. Professionally, Cr Smith has been a radio announcer, publican, and grazier.
